Fantastic time
Came here for a wedding. Charming character hotel. Situated in a picturesque spot. Didn't get to experience the spa. Food and presentation was to a high standard although overseasoned with salt. A lot of the staff are quite junior. They did the best job they could, but sometimes service was not as efficient or professional as would be expected. Spme areas could do with a bit of maintenance but that's all part of the character! Stayed in a family room which had ample space for 4.
Amazing Grade 1 listed building, beautifully furnished and decorated and with only 42 bedrooms. Food very good, spa and wonderful grounds. So good that we’re actually booked in for Christmas 2025

Lovely old building. Loads of character. And grounds were lovely. The rooms are awesome very old English and old fashioned which I liked. Service wasn't great though, and neither was the food at the wedding we attended there.
