Smelled like mold, elevator was broke for 3 days, pool bathroom only has 1 stall working, a/c did really work all week the chiller broke the last night. I could say a lot more.
Needs updating. Service slow. Room was dirty. Something on headboard, not sure what it was. My platinum status meant nothing. Pool bathroom not very clean. Same used tissue in elevator all day. Staff friendly enough. Will not come back or recommend.
If you like elevators that work, air conditioning that works, and ice machines that work, this is not your place. Location and pool area are fine and some of the staff members have been very good, but this hotel is old and a mess. We are currently sitting in 90 degree suffocating heat in our room because the air is out and won't be fixed until the morning...supposedly and no one can sleep. Many other better choices in Hilton Head!!!!!
Room smelled musky. Phone didn't work. A/C half working. TV didn't work. Very aged facility and extremely over priced. Things got fixed but this is one of the worst Marriotts I have ever stayed in. And only one elevator worked, ice machine 3rd floor not working. Guess that about sums it up.
I don't believe I have ever felt more welcomed and appreciated than I was at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort. Julia at the Front Desk really set the tone for my entire stay - very friendly, professional and her desire to go the extra mile, was not only refreshing but the main reason why I will return to this location!
