Absolutely the most overrated restaurant in town!!!! – Ah I don't know what the other people had for dinner but apparently it was cooked there. The service was okay at best. I asked the server to describe the spinach dip her response " it's really good" duh really? I'm sorry but if going to spend money on a overpriced place I'll keep going to Pappas. The food was shoddy at best I thoug ht that I was dining at Luby's. The ribeye which was $29 was okay the swordfish which was also $29 was fresh out of the can and overcooked. N... read more

not the place it used to be... – me and my family used to come here every weekend and have a late lunch at the bar. always ordered the same thing, drank the same thing...even sat in the same spot at the bar. we got to know the bartenders over the years, being that same two people waited on us for about two or three years. we had become friendly with them and they made us feel very comfortable. when the bartender saw us walking down the stairs, she would put our drinks on the bar and automatically ring in our appatiser. it wa... read more

Best ambience in Orlando! – Great service in a very casual atmosphere. The food is always tastey and never is cooked and or prepared differently. Consistent taste! Prompt service on weekends tend to be slow for seating and food! Price is worth the taste and quality of food.

Bad for large groups & questionable kitchen practices – Six months ago, I dined at this Houston's location and really enjoyed my meal. The food was good and the atmosphere was cozy with dark wood cubicle-type tables. Although the restaurant is a bit dark, my visit would have garnered a 4 star review. Last night I had a completely different and uncharacteristically poor experience. This review will focus on this most recent visit. WE CALLED TO MAKE A RESERVATION for a table of eight. We were only told that they do not take re... read more

Roomy banquettes and hefty portions typify this polished American grill that's popular for business deals and special occasions. – In Short Burnished brass and stained wood complement roughly mortared brick and the occasional plant. Amid ubiquitous earth tones, corporate types and small parties (celebrating or simply living large) occupy deep booths done up in fine upholstery and lit from above by pin spotlights. Burgers, prime rib and steaks are the specialties of the house, but the menu also includes salmon, salads, pork c... read more

Nice atmosphere & fantastic customer service – I had been to this particular location a few other times--to meet friends for drinks--but this was my first dining experience. After a day of shopping, my mother & I went for a late lunch. I didn't realize they only served local/small brewery beers (which I don't generally drink). Our server, CARA, was very accommodating and brought me samples of 2 beers to try (I went with a glass of wine). My mom ordered the Asian chicken salad(?) and I went for the Black Bean & Rice veggie bu... read more

Good food, expensive, but nice special occassion meal – Went with a party of 8 for a friends bday. Sat us at two different tables. We were close enough to chat and see each other, but still removed from a whole conversation. Food was good. I had a steak and noodle salad that was pretty amazing. For the price though I would have expected this anyway. Drinks were okay, but still really expensive! It's a nice, special occassion place, but very loud and not at all romantic. Will only go back if it's for someone's bday that actua... read more

Counter Houston Review - Dont Appreciate HubDubs bashing a local mecca. – The guy that did not know how to write in anything but capital also knows nothing about taste. Houstons will be around alot longer than Flemings. Everyone I know that has eaten at Flemings says its "OK" but nothing special. Your probably some little yuppie s-c-u- m who thinks they know something about flavor when you don't even have a pallet. By the way, its Flemings not Roy Flemings. Your probably the same Loser who thinks Del Frisco is better than Ru... read more

Go early to avoid the crowds. – Houston's is the greatest! What else can be said. I have enjoyed most of everything on the menu at some point since it has long been one of my favorite spots. Even when I go to NYC, I dine at Houston's in Manhattan. Their fillet mignon is superb and the grilled chicken salad with peanut sauce is divine. My favorite dessert is the apple cobbler....ymmm. From the BBQ sauce to the appetizers, all I can say is, you can't go wrong. There is no bad food at Houston's. Service is great! Some of the hi... read more
