Fool me once shame on you.... – My friend made the mistake of choosing Houston's for her going-away dinner. Having been there before and tasted their bland food I was not exactly thrilled, but I went anyway. Not only were we told that they do not accept reservations, which is ridiculous enough as it is, but then we were told that they could not accommodate a party of 9 on a slow Monday night. Great Food, Good Atmosphere, Wonderful Place – I have had the pleasure of frequenting Houston's on Westheimer. It is always a wonderful experience. Some of the reviews on here are totally misleading. The complaints about no reservations and no takeout does not mean a place is 1 Star! Come on people. Anyways, I think the food here is awesome. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dates. Why so snooty? – The type of food Houston's serves definitively does not give the right for the establishment to act self-absorbed. I don't think ribs, burgers, and chicken fingers deserve a snooty staff and a "Proper Attire Required" sign on the front door. Don't waste your money – Snooty hostess, poor selection on the menu, no complimentary bread, no ice in water, cannot phone in "to go" orders. Had the very thick pork chop. Did not like flavor. Strange selection of beer. Why is this place still in busines? After being seated and looking at the menu, my first impluse was to leave. I didn't, and I regret it. I will never go back. It is not the same Houston's that I visited regularly several years ago.

Great food! – Houston's in Winter Park Florida has always been a favorite of mine. The food is great and the service is good most of the time. I usually order one of their tasty burgers and fries and on special occasions I'll order some of their mouth-watering barbecued baby-back "fall of the bone" ribs. Some great appetizers to look for are the spinach artichoke dip and chips and the smoked salmon which comes with crackers and tartar sauce. The entrees and appetizers are pricey but it's worth it. The Change!!!!!!!!!!!!! – All day @ work I was carving the New England Clam Chowder and my Hawiian Steak. Get to the restaurant and to my surprise the whole entire menu is change. I look at the waiter and ask him, "what happen to the menu." I was very disappointed but I still was able to get my steak. The T-Bone Steak is actually the Hawiian Steak they just change the name.
My visit – The other week I took my better half to Houston's on Park Ave, for a birthday dinner. When we sat I was met with some BIG changes!!! The name on the menu was different, a lot of the items were all different, some for the good and some for the bad!! I must admit, there was a lot of new items that sparked my interest.
