A beautiful abbey that was once a military fort, later a school, and is now home to self-catering apartments — all right next to Loch Ness. Early in the morning, you can watch the mist drift over the lake and see the play of colors from the first rays of the sun. The staff are friendly and always happy to help.

We absolutely loved it here! Booked through Airbnb, and we reserved the captains apartment which was spectacular. When we checked in and they provided us a tour of the grounds (gorgeous architecture and nature views!) and received a complimentary wine bottle and snacks. We used all the onsite facilities we could including the pool/sauna/steam rooms, lakeside restaurant, in-room laundry, pool hall and walking paths into town. Wow. This place is awesome. Likely depends on the unit you rent as they are privately owned and rented out. Our unit was amazing. Kitchen was well stocked - clothes washer. Everything we needed was here. Love this place.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderfull. The place itself is a monument in itself and wandering around the grounds is an outing. We stayed in de Chapel house and from what is understand this appartment is not really standard. It had his own private garden and entrance. The appartment was very spacious with very good furnishings with nice kitchen. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this very much if you can afford it. The only remark would be the opening hours of the swimming Pool.
