Unprofessional and Waste of Time – Since the time I purchased my Jetta about 1 year ago, most of my experience has been very fustrating and confusing. When I purchased my vehicle, I expected all the fees up front. At the very end of my purchase, I realized that there were fees that was not explained to me when I got my quote. BEWARE OF THIS. Since purchasing my car, I have brought it in for 2 oil changes. It took more than an hour both times. When I looked into the shop. The mechanics were back there talking more than workin... read more

Do NOT buy a car from Herzon Meier – My wife and I purchased a late model Volvo from Herzog-Meier and wow - what a mistake. After a long pitch about how "dependable" the Volvo is, they then sold us a warranty for $2000 that covers absolutely NOTHING. As soon as we bought the car, the coolant light came on. When I went to fill the coolant, I couldn't open the hood because the hood latch was broken. I took the car in for service at Herzog-Meier and while they couldn't figure out the problem with the coolant, they did charge me... read more

Worst service anywhere! – I have never seen such lousy service- SLOW-RUDE and WAY overpriced. I am selling my VW just so I never have to go here again. Honestly- I gave them three or four chances and they never even TRIED to get it right. Why doesn't VW DO something about this place?

Incredibly dishonest – Was bombarded by high pressure sales staff; insulting sales manager. I felt very lied to, and this was confirmed when I went home and found the car (a passat) I wanted to buy listed for thousands less on craigslist. They would have willingly sold it to me for over $4000 more than what it was listed at. Do NOT buy a car there.

i do not plan to get service here – I did buy a car from Herzog-Meier, a Volvo S40. I was satisfied with the deal. I had an offer from a dealer in Seattle that this dealership matched. Soon after, I e-mailed with an operating question and the mail was never replied to, then I called and also never got a call back from service. So for regular maintenance, I have taken my car to TVG Volvo Specialists. I generally prefer independent shops where the owner is a mechanic. Today I was going to take the car to Herzog about a roof le... read more

Incredibly Honest. – I felt compelled to write a review as I was looking over the other comments. I've had Volvos for 10 years. It was about 6 or 7 years ago when my service light came on. I took it in to have it looked at. They called and said it was some sensor that needed to be cleaned. They turned off the light and charged me $25. Being a woman in today's car world is difficult sometimes. I knew from that day forward that they would never screw me over. I bought a Volvo hat and went on my way. They could of easily convin... read more

Horrible Dishonest Dealership – Wasted an entire afternoon driving 2 cars and being quoted a great price on the one I loved. Called the next day to complete the deal and the sales team had changed the price, increased it by $2500 and didn't have record of the initial conversation. The sales manager was extremely rude and made the sales rep a scape goat. We will gladly go back to Jim Fisher, the honest dealer in the area. Do not trust them and get everything in writing.

Stay away! – I've been to their service department only three times and will go to great pains to avoid it-- even driving over to the other Volkswagen dealership in east Portland. In my few times here I have had: 1) massive delays in repairs 2) a complete brush-off for a minor repair (my first impression, nice work, guys!) 3) mis-quotations bordering on fraud The sleazy salesguys should learn not to try and troll the service center for potential customers since almost everyone there is in a bad mood and is probably not in th... read more

Bad Customer Service – I have given this dealer a couple of tries for service and have been extremely dissapointed both times. I would definitely recommend you drive to another dealer, where you will get treated right, even if it is out of your way.
