I rented a car in June and noticed a small crack in the windshield I was heading out of the city and called the Airport location where I got the vehicle and they said that they will notate it on my rental. I also took a picture that same day. I get a damn bill in the mail stating it I was at fault. I am a president circle member so we do not get vehicle inspection forms. I sent the picture in and told them I contacted the location that I got it from and sent in the picture that same day requested. Never will I rent from them... read more

Thieves. They overcharged and attached falsely adjusted fees from corporate and refused to remove them. They had my credit card and overcharged my account without notifying me or informing me.

Rented a car for ten days. Returned a day early. I was charged for three days extra. Very shady company.ended up paying $2300 for what should have been $800. I had to get new credit card because they kept charging bogus charges.

So here is my experience I rented a car in Florida and drove to DC where I got stopped for expired plates. I was lucky enough to get a warning. When I called hertz they made me drive the car to the airport for an exchange. At the airport they said the plates weren't expired and the guy wouldn't even go up to return and check the plates. He was nasty and should be fired. this mess took 4 hours of my 2 day trip. Upon returning the car the mgr gave me a $100.00 credit for the expired plates mess. My vehicle was hit while I was at work. My insurance went through hertz to get me a rental. I asked for a small vehicle. The male at the marion il location told me it was a small suv. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle the male said he never said it was a small sum but a mid size. My husband was with me and heard him tell me what size it was. Just got ripped off at West Palm Beach airport today by local Hertz manager Trina Zaldivar. I hope I got the last name correct, as she refused to give it to me, had to look it up. So much for corporate ethics Hertz... I booked the largest most expensive elite/luxury SUV on Expedia and got a $150 "upgrade" charge and ended up paying $300 for an old Suburban. They are the worst. They don't even have a car after you make a reservation. They could car less if you get your car or not. They don't have cars available when you get there for your reservation time. They expect you to sit there for hrs waiting for a car to be returned. They are rude and how they run their business is disgraceful. Bottom line run from this company and any others companies that Hertz owns. The only thing this company does is take advantage of people and upset them.

Will never rent from this company again. Flight was delayed 12 hours at ATL. Went to get a rental and they said they wouldn't do a one way. I had no choice but to rent the car and change the drop off location. Then charged me another $200 on top of the original fee for going 150 miles. Terrible company that will extort their customers.
