This company promised after returning my car I will get a $200 deposit back. Instead of giving me my $200 deposit back they charged me more than double for my rental. My original estimate was $183 and they charged me over $411. I currently have a dispute with my credit card but I'm not hopeful because if they're deceptive practices. I will never rent from Hertz again and recommend that you stay far away
HERTZ IS THE WORST. I rented a car last year, they over charged me, did not cancel a reservation and attempted to double charge. Then they put through extra charges on my card for no reason. 1 month after returning the car they sent a letter saying I stole it and would be charged if I dod not return the car. They have not returned my $200 deposit and my car was returned in good standing over 2 weeks ago. They told me it was released, it has not showed on my credit card statement and I've even called my financial institution and they've confirmed it has not been returned.
Rented a car from Hertz for a trip because our vehicle was acting up. On the day of the return I called Hertz customer service to find out how much it would cost to return the car to a Hertz location about 10 miles closer to my house, The representative told me multiple times that the charge would only be $10.00. Allowed prepay with Visa Debit card, but when we went to pick up car in STL, the Visa debit card was not accepted and no other card was allowed. Would not return the $568 prepay that was made over the computer and would not allow us to get a car
By far the worst car rental experience my husband and I have ever had!!!! We showed up to our 9am reservation and they only had two cars Available for rental so they automatically upgraded ** to a VW Tiguan since we thought we were getting a deal on the upgrade we started our road trip from ** to WA. I got a charge a month after I got my deposit. It seems like a cashier used my card on file because I shouldn't have been charge a month after receiving my deposit
I'm on vacation I'm Europe in Greece I was almost. Hertz is no longer the top car rental company! They became fraudulent and scam!!! This was the worst car rental experience I had. I rented for 14 days. But due to personal issue, I need return the car just one hour after I picked up the car. I was getting into their store and asked first before I decided to return.
