Hertz is the worst rental company out in the business. They are scam artists, they do not deliver what they advertise, they charge you whatever they want and make up the rules as they go along. I rented an Audi in Lisbon Portugal and received a totally different and lower-class vehicle. They charged me the exchange rate that they desire in that the international exchange rate from euro to U.S. dollar. I give this company -5 stars. The CEO talks about change to the company in which, if you ask me it’s going down. I signed up to drive due to I needed a rental to drive for Uber which has a contract with Hertz’s. In the Uber app the pricing for the rental was like $100-$200 difference once you go and pick up a rental through Hertz’s. Well I agree to pay the price of $380 a wk for the first vehicle which I had over 3-4 weeks. as I can see by all the one star. They said the computers went down. but they said my reservation was cancelled. to make long story short, the car was supposed to be $391. they made me go to the back of the line, and would be treated as a walk up customer.which was now going to be $674. I still have not got back my deposit. now after almost for week, the sent me a letter saying the car was never returned. I dont know who is shadier hertz or ******************* .

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! SHOULD BE ZERO STARS!! Scheduled on line for a pick up in **************, ** for Saturday October 14 at 12 noon. Arrive at the location at 12 noon only to find the building closed and locked up, no one in sight. Read the hours on the door to find they close at 12 noon on Saturday. Call customer service to see why the location is closed when the pick up time is 12 noon. Agent was extremely rude and just kept saying, "well you chose the time, that is not our problem". Awful company, left me stranded twice. The customer service rep was totally pathetic, they charge your card for post-sales things you never agreed to. Then they keep your money if you want out. Please for heaven's sake take your business to anyone else, there is a reason they have a 1-star review, they have earned it.

Horrible customer service. Calling their phone line for help, unless its to reserve (give them money), is a waste of time, and will only cause you grief. Calling a number will either get you no answer, to a dead line/number or to a voicemail that nobody talks/to a line that nobody picks up. It is by far one of the worst customer service experiences Ive had in a long time.The only redemption Ive had was that when I was at the location, I did experience very good customer service.

We made a reservation for a minivan rental on 9/15/2023. Several days before pickup, we received a confimation email. When we arrived at 9 am to get the rental on October 16,2023, we were told they did not have a minivan for us. We needed it for 6 people and luggage. We had made travel arrangements with nonrefundable ticket purchases so this was unacceptable. Planning to rent a car from Charlotte, NC airport? I had a reservation and had to cancel. I would highly recommend to find any alternative company other than Hertz. I was very dissatisfied with their lack of customer service. Best to go with another company.

Terrible customer service and little to no ability to talk with a real person at the rental locations. Had a $40 dollar billing dispute and hertz told me to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I did and then hertz sent to collections and banned me from renting. I was a president circle member and frequent renter. Well I got the presidential treatment! Thanks hertz. Your company sucks and so do your cars. Happily renting from your competition.
