i was hit by a hertz rental car driver back in July and I have yet to hear anything from them. my car was totaled and I have been careless for 3 months. tried calling claims and they push me around in circles. currently filing a lawsuit against them. Do not trust this company. They will not help you when it matters most!
The worst customer service ever!! If you want to deal with people that just don't care about customer service...this is your place. They do not take any ownership for the company, the services and the care for the customer. I rented a car for a funeral for the days of September 1-3. When we got to our hotel we couldn’t get into the car . The key fob wouldn’t allow us to open the car doors ! I called the hertz we picked the car up from which was 8100 Monroe Rd, Houston, TX. No answer. We had to take an Lyft. The next day , we tried to get into the car and same problem! Women at the counter had an attuited from the first moment. False advertainment, made a reservation online total said $233 then was charged hidden fees for a so called hold on my card $620. Then told me I wasn't allowed to put a second driver on my rental. Never using Hertz again
Do NOT use Hertz. I had to pick one star, but would have rather picked no stars for them. ALL of their employees lie!! I never leave reviews, but had to this time. I had a reservation for Hertz through Expedia for my rental. They did not honor the fees at all and charged me four times the rate I was promised. We as a family of 4 arrived at Bradley airport in CT. I reserved a “supplier’s choice” car and was given a Ford fiesta which had one lug nut missing and was dirty. With a very large inventory of cars it seems as the employees go well above and beyond to put you in their worse cars when you book a supplier’s choice. I will never again book a car through hertz.
My husband and I went to Trinidad for a family funeral. The car they gave us the brakes were bad grinding on the disk. We called the hertz office and they wanted us to drive it back which was an hour and half away. We were afraid to drive the car. They then called back and said we could drive it 40 mins away for a different car. We had no choice but to do so. One of their drivers hit and damaged my vehicle. I’ve waited for a month for an adjuster to my case and received no help. My car is damaged and whenever I call, I am told that I need to wait for an adjuster. No information was provided to me as to why I must wait so long and I am still in the “pending” state for getting my vehicle repaired. 1. Hertz charged me $133 more than they were supposed to. Did they send me a bill explaining it? No. You have to REQUEST the bill containing the extra charges and they will send it you in SEVEN DAYS. I am not making this up. So shady. 2. I called about the $133. I was told that $25 was a cleaning charge. The car was pretty clean when I turned it in. They refunded the $25 without much hassle.
