We had an amazing day with our granddaughters. They loved everything about the experience, enjoyed talking to the guide and have visited a couple of times. Very disappointed with the plant/gift area. I was going to buy them one of the little animals for their garden unfortunately I was so disappointed by the cost of them. Worth a visit. Looks better on the outside than the inside. Interior tour recomended but needs to be booked to avoid disappointment, very good cafe, gardens & walks good.
Herstmonceux what a disappointment, could have made it more clearer, that all paying for is looking around there gardens, not allowed in unless its guided. Don't get me wrong very beautiful castle but I was very underwhelmed. Ohh and also front of castle under scaffolding and, the Shakespeare garden closed aswell because there changing it. So only thing the ticket was useful for was the falconry, display which was fantastic and birds where beautiful and do get close to you. Service was decent, nothing stood out too much.
Beautiful grounds could make it clearer about castle entry shame you cant walk around. Enjoyed the falconry.
