Our experience at Herons Lodge was nothing short of disgraceful. What was meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable stay quickly turned into a dangerous and deeply frustrating ordeal. The most serious issue was electric shocks from faulty lights around the pool — a clear health and safety hazard that could have caused serious harm. We had to call the lodge reception immediately, and their own maintenance team had to attend and physically remove the lights, clearly acknowledging there was a dangerous fault. Lovely place and definitely worth a visit. There should be more signs stating which direction the numbered lodges are as every 10 mins people were asking us what number we were an it started to feel like we were tourist information! Lol also this could have been helped if there had been more of a privacy screening on our decking

If you like being overcharged for a dirty cabin, no sleep and an overall disappointing stay, here’s your place. Booked a weekend and was put in Hawk cabin. Upon initial appearance, the layout of the cabin and its position was great. The drive into the site was gorgeous. High hopes. It was only upon actually looking it became apparent how bad the situation was. First night we were unable to sleep with the smell of damp in both bedrooms.
