Very kind and patient. Explain everything thoroughly. Was very easy to understand. Thank you for making me feel comfortable.
On my first visit I met with Dr. Illum's NP, Quynh. She reviewed my medical history, discussed blood work that had been sent with my referral and explained additional bloodwork she wanted to run. All questions were answered and I did not feel like I was rushed out the door. Dr Illum is an outstanding physician on any level. He is knowledgeable, caring, and never forget the patient he is caring for. Most of all he works with his patients on a team basis with including them in every phase from diagnosis to treatment
Dr. Illum is a fantastic Doctor. Takes his time to review my labs and explains them in a way that I can understand. Overall I am very satisfied with Dr. Illum.
Dr. Illum was very thorough. He took time to answer any questions, and made recommendations that fit my particular situation. His bedside manner, so to speak, is very good. If my situation were to become worse, or if I was in need of an Oncologist for any other problems, I would definitely give consideration to him for advice and or treatment.
I've been Dr. Illum's patient for over three years. I am in remission, but still get an appointment every four months to see him. The last appointment, I told him that I still get tired too easily. I also mentioned the pain I had experienced. He checked my report from blood draws. Rather than dismissing my complaints, he decided to keep a closer watch on my numbers (every two months instead of every four). I appreciate Dr. Illum's kindness in continued watch over my condition.

Dr Illum is very easy to have a conversation on findings, current prognosis, next steps and follow-ups. I did not leave any appointment with questions I knew going to Dr Illum unanswered. Even though he is very busy and takes a while to get in to see him, I did not feel hurried in trying to discuss my concerns during actual visit.
