Killcrest should've BEEN shut down! The hospital staff DON'T CARE!!! Do not bring your loved ones here. You can tell all the staff hate their jobs...
My diabetic mother was out of sorts with her sugar. She was sent to Hillcrest. Her room was right next to the nurses desk. She was off her rocker.. .. and got out of bed, walked right in front of the nurses desk dragging her IV and no one noticed? They found her across the hall on the other end of the floor in another patients room screaming because she fell and broke her hip. That required surgery in which she got a staff infection and it went to her heart and killed her. That was back in 2006/07. I hate this hospital!
Takes 2 hours to be seen and my aunt tammie could be bleeding out but they dont give a shit they want that paycheck for sitting on theyre ass. It they want it they need to earn it.
I am an employee at Hillcrest and have worked there for 16 years. I have chosen to have all of my surgeries there and have always been very well cared for. The staff that I know and work with and have also encountered on the patient side of things are wonderful, caring and professional. My son had knee surgery today in the orthopedic center and again, He was well taken care of and it was a comfort to.me to have such a great team caring for him. Possibly the worse hospital in the state the nurses and techs are pleasant but their system for getting patients help is a complete act of incompetence I do not know the cause but the results are awful.
The team on fifth floor spoiled me. They were the greatest. Helped my recovery go quickly. Hated to leave
