Nice, quaint venue, good food, ambience to boot! – We were at Ninth & Nicollet to go to The Melting P*t, however they were unable to accomodate us (it was an hour and a half wait), so we walked next door to the Blue Star Room. Having never been there, we didn't know what to expect, but they were able to seat us right away. There was a $5 cover added to our bill for the evening's jazz entertainment, which wasn't a big deal once the band started - the live entertainment was appropriate and added ambience! My bf ordered the Rib... read more

romantic atmosphere – My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening at Rossi's the other evening. The jazz was easy on the ears and the cosmos were not ridiculously priced. The view of the stage is good and the sound level is not ear shattering. I would recommend this venue for a nice evening on the town with your significant other or having a ladies night out. Not a pick-up place.

Bad management, – We had a group of co-workers to Rossi's and made a reservation days in advance. Not everyone showed up at the exact same time but within a matter of half an hour everyone was there. I spent that entire time arguing with Jay the manager, because he kept trying to give our table away. He is arrogant, mean and his entire staff hates his guts as much as his customers do. Terrible customer service and management skills. I will not return because of him alone. Our waiter was miserable having to work for Jay but h... read more

Great lunch place – This is a favorite of my work group for lunch. The service has been great, and the food is a little on the odd side, which makes it great! I love that you can have breakfast at 12:30pm, and they do great sandwiches. If you are looking for a restaurant with a little style, and a lot of taste, this is the place.

Great reason to visit Duluth! – I love the Minneapolis Hell's Kitchen and was super excited to try their new Duluth location, but at first I had heard some not so great things... slow kitchen, poor wait staff. I figured that these complaints were pretty typical of a brand new restaurant (and let's face it, even though this is their 2nd location, opening up that far from your 1st place is pretty much like starting over) and decided to wait it out a few months. Well... either those complaints aren't justifiable or Hell's Kitch... read more

BEST caring about their customers in the world!!! – We had a potentially disastrous experience w/ the restaurant. Our reservation was lost, plus the hostess was less than happy to deal with our situation. Due to this problem (and from being out of towners), we couldn't wait the 45 minutes to eat, but the food smelled GREAT and looked better! The real reason behind this post is, when I emailed our experience to the owner, he really showed how much he cared about the service in his establishment, with an incredible apology. We... read more

best breakfast in the cities! – Your first thought on Hell's Kitchen would be "I'd never take my grandparents here." The bright colors, the destinctive servers, the hellish decor... It would never drag them out of their after-church diner, right? WRONG. Great food abounds, everything from the odd (ham and pear on a sandwich?) to the classic (waffles... everybody loves waffles!) is amazing, Get a reservation on the weekends, but the atmosphere is even better then. Gospel music playing throughout, pajama'd servers, and of cour... read more

If you like breakfast, this is your place! – I love Hell's Kitchen and have been there many times! Although I prefer the breakfast (definitely the best and most original in the cities), their lunch is fantastic as well. The Heuvous Rancheros are so flavorful (homemade salsa!) and big (I definitely get 2 meals out of them). I've tried making them at home since I love them so much, but it's never as good as the original. For lunch my favorite is the Ham and Pear Crisp sandwich. It took me a while to try this since the fruit an... read more
