My experience was to have blood drawn. That went fine. But when I received a bill, which I didn't expect because it should have been paid by insurance, I called to make payment arrangements. I was told that I must pay a large amount immediately or I would be turned over to collections. The lady was rude and not willing to work with me. Months after I finished paying off the bill I learned through doing my own investigating that I was not required to pay, HGB had miscoded the bill. My 7 year old son was very ill and the nurse Cheryl had to start an IV...she was amazing. She is def. Awesome with children...she had us laughing...taking an edge off our fears...my son loved her and even though we do 't want to go back we def. want to see her again.
I brought my infant child here because he had a high fever of 103, crying uncontrollably, and puking. I brought my child to this hospital because it is the closest. I will never again come to this hospital. The first nurse I had told me "I don't know much about babies, let me find a another nurse". Then he proceeded to take my son and wrap him in a heated blanket with the fever he had. And I was treated like I was wasting their time. In the future I will drive further for better services.
Came in on Christmas morning. Dr. Deason and a Tammy RN were amazing. They were extremely quick getting me in, despite being busy. Dr Deason noticed I was curled up on the bed and brought me warm blankets without being asked. Tammy RN had some great stories and really genuinely loves her job, and it shows. You have a gem with her, make sure you take good care of her! I was out quickly considering and felt like I was in great hands. They have one doctor working on the ER on Christmas evening! We've been waiting forever to get a few stitches.
They did an awesome job with my daughter when she was there.
We've had very questionable service in the past; however, the last time we were there (yesterday) we had awesome service. My 8-year-old son had to get stitches and was scared to death. The nurse in particular was amazing to him. When we left he mentioned several times how nice and funny his nurse was. The doctor was great as well. It also doesn't hurt that we were in and out of there in less than an hour! That's unheard of anymore.
I've had experience with 3 areas of HGB. I will not share the bad of the one but the Lab/Phlebotomy department & Imaging (CT) were good. Taken care of quickly & courteously & have used the 2 departments quite a bit with great results.
My wife had both knees operated on here. They did a magnificent job, and the staff are fantastic!
