We stayed at the hotel on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because it was convenient to Beverly and we were visiting family. I found the room rate expensive ($233 a night), the lack of sufficient hot water for a normal length shower in the morning really annoying, and I am convinced that the many dogs all over the place were the reason I was bitten by something (flea perhaps). We did not find the experience wonderful at all!

The historic hotel is beautifully decorated for the season, the minute you walk through the front door your salivary glands are already in action at the delicious aromas! My husband and I were married at the Hawthorne on 11/9/19. I cannot begin to say enough good things about EVERYONE there. From our first contact with them, through our reception, the staff at the Hawthorne was amazing. Our questions were answered thoroughly and quickly, no matter how trivial. Their vendor expo led us to our DJ, florist, and baker, all of whom we loved. The menu tasting dinner prior to the wedding was such a unique experience, and in the end, many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever... read more
