RecommendedBeautiful historic hotel in the best location. The most money I have ever spent to stay in the smallest place, however, ingenious use of the space available. Friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed at the Historic Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Ma for a few days Halloween week. We got married on Halloween morning, 12:10 to exact because we couldn’t wait a moment longer. We had plans to get married in the gazebo in the Salem commons that is right next to the hotel. However, it was cold and raining that evening. Great staff!!! David is awesome!!! And the Halloween Bash was great! The ability to stay where the party is makes it even better!! I would suggest asking on the Halloween party package form our t-shirt sizes because as awesome as the shirts are, they will never be worn by myself or my husband because we dont wear XL. I wear a small/medium and he's a large. We also recommend a fridge being in each room, especially with having to stay 4 nights next year.
