We had booked to stay for three nights and didn't even stay one night. We booked somewhere else at 9pm at night for the same night instead. Disgusting. Unclean. Dog poo everywhere in the garden. Host didn't care and we left immediately.

The location is lovely, the accomodation has tremendous potential if completely refurbished. We stopped in the Coach House - the entrance mat inside was soaked through - a rather serious damp issue. Fortunately the accomodation is upstairs, but the smell of damp is significant. The oven was filthy - black with burnt on food and ash in the grill pan. A tupperware box catching dead woodlice on the kitchen windowsill, dead spiders in the bath, cobwebs galore is not what you expect to see on arrival. The curtain rail fell off du... read more

Haus Saron, Largs has 3 properties on site we were unlucky enough to stay at Zion House. The property is on large grounds occupied by the main manor house where the owner lives. There was plenty of parking on the grounds. We arrived late so this was welcome. But I can honestly say this was the highlight of the stay! ||The property was left unlocked for access but our welcome was the tripped fuse turning on the lights. Firstly, I’d like to start with a positive by expressing what a lovely place Largs is. We were there for a sailing event and the town and surrounding area is very picturesque, the island of Cumbrae directly out to sea gives Largs a lakeside feel and the weather we had was generally good albeit with some rain as you would expect on the West coast of Scotland.
