I have tried 3 times in the last few years to get appointments and failed every time. Initially fobbed off with call tomorrow and now with the online form I get told to call 111 or go to the hospital. It is impossible to see a doctor. My wife has had the same experience whilst being very ill before Christmas. Last week was the final straw, my condition was deemed bad enough to tell me to go to St Albans hospital on Friday but still no ability to see a doctor at the surgery. I moved away from here a year ago to maltings surgery and have no regrets. My husband stayed with this surgery and has had mixed experiences - doctors and nurses themselves fine, but the reception/admin team not. Most recently, after calling up with severe pain and an NHS 111 referral (to be seen within 1 hour), my husband was told they were 'unable to find the referral' (we phoned NHS 111 up who confirmed it had definitely been sent), the reception team then hung up on him and then when we called back up were told in a pret... read more

I changed to this surgery from another in Radlett. I can not compliment this practice enough. I find it easy to fill out the online form and wait for a call back instead of having to call and wait for an appointment. I've always been called or seen promptly. Dr Hamilton has seen me a couple of times, and I am so grateful to him for his kind and sympathetic service. I have seen other practitioners at both sites and can not fault them in anyway. I completed the online triage form and was contacted by a doctor within an hour. I was offered an appointment that day. It is the first time I have used the system and I am very grateful that it works so well to prioritise urgent cases. My family and I have always been treated with care and compassion at this surgery. Over the years, we have seen various doctors come and go, but the level of expertise and sheer professionalism has always been outstanding.

Absolutely shocking surgery, they keep fobbing you off hoping you’d leave them alone. They have absolutely no interest in helping you. No proper diagnostics or treatment given, only painkillers and antihistamine. It would actually save them time if they treated their patients straight away so they wouldn’t ask for more help after complications.
