This is one of the few large and affordable hotels in downtown Washington. It is located minutes from the National Mall, the U.S. Capitol and many museums and attractions. The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Great place to stay with a family Staying in DC can be expensive if you have a family. This is a great place to stay. Plus it is in walking distance of many places of interest! This hotel caters to a lot of student groups so if you want peace and quite this isn't the place.
Great Location! We stayed at the Hotel Harrington and thought it was located in a great spot. It was within walking distance of lots of major attractions, such as the White House and the Capitol Building. The hotel is not a 5 star hotel by any means....no frills and very basic accommodations. We had a problem with the plugs in our room; none of them worked unless someone was holding it in, which made using the hair dryer interesting.
The cost and location. The rooms were good size adequate furnishing. Restaurant below are great food. Good service. Could use a renovation but that might increase price. It's within walking distance to Ford's theaters. The mall is close too.
This hotel is great. We got an upgraded room. It had 4 beds, three twin and a double and two full bathrooms. Linens were spotless. Everythink was clean. The ac didnt work, that we could figure out, but the windows opened well and we just let the night air in. Night staff was fantastic. Day staff was stiff but efficient. Close to the White House; half hour walk to Lincoln Memorial. Great wifi signal. Map of area. The list goes on and on. We didnt eat there, but they are a 10 minute drive to the Falafel Inc location in NW.
Many will complain about the outdated rooms but personally I love that the hotel has kept that 1950s look. The staff seem to have a family bond and they are very warm and welcoming. The hotel has two restaurants. One that serves breakfast and the other serves dinner. Only visit this hotel if you want to experience a bit of history. You'll appreciate it.
It was a nice hotel room. Right in the middle of the city
The staff was extremely friendly and polite. They helped with any directions I needed as well as information that I needed. The hotel does need some updates but for my daughter and myself it was not an issue. We were not in our room all that much because we were out exploring the city and all that it has to offer.
Stayed in this hotel overnight with my family and we were all pleased with the room choice and the proximity to all local attractions. I would recommend if you are OK with staying in older but traditional and clean hotels. It has a vintage feel to it...but provides all necessities nonetheless.
The area was great, We were in walking distance of all the monuments and the White house. The hotel was nostalgic and exactly what we thought it would be. The gentleman we checked in with was amazing and very knowledgeable. The room was a little warm till we got a fan. We will be back.
