About this business
The Half Shell started out as a very small place with a few tables and a bar. A fun little "joint" where you could get oysters, shrimp, hamburgers, and really cold beer. It had the atmosphere of an old Panama City Beach "dive" with walls covered in dollar bills signed by customers. The cooking line was right behind the bar, so your bartender was also the cook. Had the raw oysters - were nice but like them ice cold. Also had the baked sampler. It was wonderful!! We'll be back!!
We usually have a nice dinner here, but the food and service was lacking last night. First we were seated at a tiny table that would have been more suited to very small children. The cole slaw was not fresh at all and the squash in the steamed veggies were mushy. The hush puppies were horrible! My salad was delivered with no salad dressing, and it took 15-20 minutes to get a drink from the bar.
