The Half Shell started out as a very small place with a few tables and a bar. A fun little "joint" where you could get oysters, shrimp, hamburgers, and really cold beer. It had the atmosphere of an old Panama City Beach "dive" with walls covered in dollar bills signed by customers. The cooking line was right behind the bar, so your bartender was also the cook. Service was good but they could use some better processes or training or communication knowing what’s still available on the menu or not. Then making sure your guest know that. Had to be told several times coming back they where out of something or equipment broken. Food was mediocre as we had a group of 7 and everyone had something wrong. Use to be a hot spot. If your looking for good beer and oysters this is the place. Anything else forget it.

Food was delicious and excellent service.
We must have chose the wrong night......ordered the fried oyster platter. They were fried so hard they were crunchy, no oyster taste at all. More like over fried batter. I asked the server if they usually fried them that hard..........she said (well it depends on who is cooking). Oh and don't ask for a tea refill if it's not your server you're not getting it! So it's pretty safe to say we will not be going back there again. Forgot to mention they were not that busy at all.
The waitress was not attentive nor friendly.
