Beautiful place ideal for a family getaway 5*
We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. It has been a peaceful, comfortable house with everything we needed and more. We have enjoyed exploring the area, relaxing in the cosy rooms, and soaking up the charm of the surroundings. Thank you for creating such a welcoming place. We are heading home rested, happy, and already hoping to return.
Such a charming find in North Wales! This is our third time over five years and we’ve found it a lovely retreat. We were looking for a quiet off the beaten track place for the family and found a high quality kitchen (with not your usual basic implements!), and a really characterful setting. The library room (and open fire) was such a lovely place to play board games. Loved it. Surrounded by mountains and close to Portmerion. Thank you Paul and Claire for your hospitality.
Our third stay at Hafod Cae Maen and our first during the winter - it didn’t disappoint! This time it was relaxing with children and grandchildren in the library, rather than the garden that we’ll remember - so cosy with the fire crackling in the hearth. On the one rainy day we had, we played Underground golf at Zip World, a unique experience but great fun, even for the very little ones. Thank you Paul and Claire. Already planning the next one!
Several times a year we meet, two mums and our five children. We call their gang "The railways". October half term has been spent at this very beautiful "home from home" house in the most surprisingly beautiful setting. The open fires comfy chairs and relaxing environment have been appreciated by all of us. Everything we could have needed is here! We had a wonderful time walking, playing games and enjoying each other‘s company in the most perfect setting. A big five stars from The Railways!
