Great people, service, and ambiance, with history.
Beautiful venue, great atmosphere, good service and amazing food. All that and in a quaint old town full of character and charm. Ticks all the boxes with ease. I will return despite living several thousand miles away in England.
My wife and I love coming to Gruene and when we do, the Gristmill is always the highlight! Great service 95% of the time, excellent food 100% of the time and one of a kind atmosphere year round whether day or night. I always get the Best Wrust and she likes the Beef Tip Sandwich and it's always worth the trip.
The food was so scrumptious �� This was a family weekend getaway and our first dining experience at this restaurant. We will be back next year!

Really bad hamburger! No flavor! The round French fries also missed the mark... soggy cold potato chip wanna be is more like it. Locals told me where to go...across the street... Not returning to Gristmill RR.

Great atmosphere, this restaurant is so amazing in the way it is set up they have a large selection of great food, and the service was excellent. There are soooo many cool shops around the area as well, so after you eat some great tasting food and yummy drinks you can walk it off by shopping at all the stores
