My girlfriend and I went to the Gristmill today and had the Tomatillo Chicken, the Beef Tenderloin Salad, and the German Chocolate cake! Our waitress, Kailee and the manager, Corrie definitely went above and beyond taking care of us today! The chicken came out lukewarm and the “Gruene beans” were cool. Great atmosphere. Staff is super friendly. Chicken fried stuck cut with a fork and the mashed potatoes are wonderful. Our waitress recommended the ribs and they literally fell off the bone. Can’t wait to go back.

Great atmosphere especially in the summer time. You can sit outside overlooking the Guadalupe river. Try the onion rings as an appetizer, so good and huge!
Love the history of the place, the decor, the food and our server Brooke was so accommodating! Last time we came to Gruene it was so busy we couldn't get in, but so happy that on this trip we were able to enjoy this very unique and charming Texas restaurant!
Food & service is always excellent & the hostesses are always very welcoming & friendly! We highly recommend!
