Always a great experience when we go there. The food and staff always make us want to return.
We had steak , turkey sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich. There tortilla soup is to die for. There chips with queso are so light and crispy. We are winter texans and definitely look forward to returning again. Good food and excellent service.

It was cold enough to have the fires going inside, they sit us outside. This was my second visit. My friends and I find the meats and fish OK but the side aren't so great. I had to send my Cole slaw back it tasted rotten or spoiled to me but I also think blue cheese tastes like it is rotten also. They did take it off my bill. Atmosphere is great but the food not so much.
We absolutely love this restaurant. Delicious food, beautiful views, and wonderful ambiance. Always sweet waiters too! If y'all haven't been to Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar, then y'all must come experience it!!!❤️
What can one say that hasn't been said a million times about this absolute must in Gruene? Great location and atmosphere, great service from our very personable waiter Stephen and the chance to catch up with GREAT friends while enjoying a delicious meal. The only negative thing is that you can't stay there all day! It had been too long since I'd been there but my hope is that I will have more opportunities to visit the restaurant and the area a lot more often!
The food was excellent as always! I've been eating here since I was a kid and now I get to bring my own children here. Service was awesome, food tastes amazing and view was spectacular. 10 out of 5 stars!!!!!
