Had a great lunch date with my wife, the ribs were awesome and her chicken was great!
My gf and I drove from Austin yesterday, spent the whole day in Gruene, need fuel and decided to stop here, was accommodated with our choice of table and also received excellent service from our food pro Sam! Rock on Sam!

Every time we make a trip to Gruene, we eat at Gristmill. The onion rings are the best. Be careful on what you order because they will get you full. I always order the barbeque ribs or a pulled pork sandwich. Very tasty but this time they were out. I decided to try a burger. It DOES NOT come with a side. I paid $11 for a burger and no side. A basket of fries was another $5.00. The service was really slow even though it was not busy. I'm definitely thinking of trying something new.
