Horrible my acct was taken for 445 dollars of over seas purchases filed 2 claims borh denied in 24 to 48 hrs all the while my 14 pages of fraud paper work still sitting at their po box never picked up as of today X XX XX please stop them terrible customer service cant understand a word dont followther iwn rules for fraud investigation rjey are criminal and predatory STAY away

I dont think green dot debit cards are worth any of the hassle they make you go through to givea single homeless father his money that they already have.****** and ups3t parent

why would i leave this company any stars? they absolutely suck. they have no service and no way to speak to anyone. there is no way to fix any of their mistakes. they do not answer the phone everything is automated and if its not on the list of help topics (your problem will not be on the list) then you cannot talk to them about it. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE VERY BAD. the whole idea is to not talk to you, hoping you will go away and they can keep your money. We received a couple Green Dot debit cards as gifts ($200) from a friend. To use to cards, we had to open a bank account with Green Dot Bank, which required our social security numbers (red flag). We tried using the cards are retail stores with PINs as debit cards, but they didn't work. After trying them for a few times, we gave up and put the cards away. DON't Purchase these pre paid cards, they require all your personal information, and refuse to allow you to forgo this. There is no way to contact them without giving them your SSN/DOB/Address. Horrible service.

I used, Greendot Platinum Secured Card Since December 2017 Thru July 2018. Made a payment online with my bank because I am flat out tired of spending $2XX-XXX on bank fees a month. They requested a bank statement which I sent. On 7/30/18 while unable to access $350 in a business checking until 8/2/18, I called to ask when my credit would be available and They wont release it until 8/1/18, 8 business days after the payment. Warning! DO NOT use green dot. Tried to make an online purchase, received an error message. The representative explained that there was questionable activity on the card, an information verification was necessary (mind you, I already registered the card) and therefore, a block was placed on the account. I was advised to submit a copy of my drivers license, front and back, AND, It would take 5 to 7 business days for my information to be verified and the block, released. no issues until theres an issue i called them to help me get my money back they got it back but wont release my funds ive been made homeless do to this situation and all they can say is sorry i have used this card for 5 years now never again

I have never had such a negative experience with a company / business. I received a direct deposit over a week ago and "greendot" has kept my account blocked and funds frozen. They blocked my account, due to "suspicious activity", without notifying me, requested for me to verify myself via e-mail and assured me within two business days my account would be back to normal.
