My Account has been locked down for what will be one week tomorrow... I have had enough of this ****. things that are to come out of the account cannot and are getting kicked back. Every call and email is a generic scripted one. I have sent over the docs requested 6/21/18 and its now 6/27/18. this has put my family in a deep hardship as I have zero money avail to me. I HAVE HAD A PRE-PAID CREDIT CARD FOR 7-8 YRS NOW WITH THIS COMPANY (THEY HAVE CHANGED NAMES 4-5 TIMES SINCE I OPENED MY CREDIT CARD) I PUT 1K ON MY PRE-PAID CREDIT CARD AND NEVER REALLY PLANNED ON USING IT.. I JUST WANTED TO HAVE A CREDIT CARD THAT WOULD HELP MY CREDIT. WELL I GET ON CREDIT KARMA AND IT SAYS THAT MY CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN CLOSED? Wow@bbb how did Green Dot receive a 3 1/2 Star rating.....with 114 negative reviews? Not sure what the process is to change that rating to reflect the customer reviews....I am filing a complaint with the FDIC OIG. I haven't lost as much as others on this site. This company is horrible. I reported my card lost and then received an email talking about suspicious activity. when I asked what was the suspicious activity they told me they don't know. The have a computer system that automatically detects suspicious activity and blocks the account but it does not tell them what the activity is. but how is there suspicious activity if I just reported it lost meaning the card is not in use. im a single mom and my truck is in the shop across town and me and my children are home bound and i asked my neighbor before he went to work to pick me up a green dot card so i can pay my bills online or on the phone. i went online to register my car and their system triped and now i only can make transactions in person, like really how am i gonna do that? i called several times and all i get is a sorry, like sorry gonna stop averything from shutting down in my home. this company is a mess and are not dedicated to helping th... read more

Ive had a Walmart card for OVER 10 years and until recently I never had problems, but now approx 2 weeks ago I had fradulent in store charges made in Commerce, CA. I live 2000 miles away in Georgia. It started with a small charge at 24 Hour Fitness then ramped up to hundreds of dollars at Carters & Lacoste. I purchased a reloadable Visa debit from a retailer and loaded a large sum of money onto it, then attempted to register the card online after getting back to a computer. I was told that they couldn't verify my personal information so I could not be approved for a personalized card but could use the balance on the temporary card until it was empty.
