This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location in Newburyport. Our room was cozy, especially once the owners lit a fire for us. Beautifully decorated, warm welcome, and a delicious breakfast all helped to make our weekend a most happy one!
Just had a lovely time here and everything was delightful. The staff, the food, and the amenities. The location is perfect for wandering around town and enjoying the area. The best part was how dog friendly they are. Our pup had a great time, and there is a perfect tiny park across the street and bigger parks down the road. Thanks!
Very comfortable, large clean room, nice clean bathroom, probably the best salmon Benedict (w bacon!) I've ever had. Liked the location and free parking. Service was very friendly and we liked having the tea service available most of the day. We'd stay again if ever back in Newburyport, what else is there to say!
Just spent two nights at the Garrison Inn while attending the annual Newburyport Literary Festival. This is my third year going to the Festival but the first time at the Garrison -- and the best stay ever. Large, well-equipped rooms (mine had a beautiful view of Brown Square), custom-cooked breakfasts, afternoon tea -- nice when you arrive. Perfect location for walking to all the Festival activities -- as well as Newbuyport's many shops and restaurants (and bars). We visit Newburyport regularly but somehow had never stayed at the Garrison Inn. We're very happy that we finally managed to do so; the Inn is a great place to stay. The building is beautiful and historic, and our room was elegant, clean, and very comfortable. All of the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu featured many choices and the ones we chose we're delicious. The Garrison Inn will definitely be our destination on future visits to Newburyport.
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Garrison and loved every minute of our stay. The room was large, cozy, inviting and the bed..... so comfy. The bedding was nicer than what I have at home. The breakfast was scrumptious. We were told that we could order anything we wanted and that we didn't need to stick with the menu. Great service. The tea and sweets is very English. Fancy tea cups and chocolates. Overall, a fabulous stay. Thank you Garrison Inn.
This place was more than expected! We had such a wonderful stay, the staff was excellent, the bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast was Top Notch! I highly recommend Garrison Inn any time your in the Newburyport area.
I surprised my girlfriend with a weekend here and it was the most special for so many reasons. For one, the owner has a decorative touch. One of which includes candles in the entry way. Framed editions of the liberator and guest sign in books decorate the walls in the most elegant way adding so much history. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast is amazing... cooked to order with kindness, with complimentary caviar and capers. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else on my future visits. Thank you all !
I loved the Garrison Inn. The made-to-order breakfast with personalized service was amazing! Beds are comfortable and staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I absolutely recommend this perfectly located and well-appointed Boutique Hotel.
