I found the Garrison inn online and was nervous as to what I would find. When I arrived it was a quaint inn, located within walking distance to all the downtown activities. The staff was polite friendly, and attentive to your needs. The rooms were comfortable clean and quiet. Breakfast was great and after a day of shopping you can come back to an afternoon tea with a treat.
Very quaint, comfortable and excellent location in historic Newburyport. We will definitely stay here when we visit the area in the future.
The Garrison Inn was a fantastic, quaint hotel in the middle of Newburyport, MA. From the moment we arrived, we were happy to be there. The hotel staff was gracious, the room was beautiful and so clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the dining room was so inviting. The Garrison Inn makes for a perfect stay in an amazing town! This was our first time staying at the Garrison Inn and we could not have been happier. The staff was exceptional. They were friendly, extremely helpful and great with our children. The complimentary full order breakfast was a great added amenity that you don't usually see in most hotels. I was wonderfully delighted with my recent stay at the Garrison Inn. I only had one night, but wanted to treat myself. I arrived around 7 after a full day of driving and was welcomed warmly. My room was perfect - cozy, quiet and with an awesome shower. I did not partake of the tea, but I did have some chocolate after dinner. I surprised myself by sleeping in, but was in plenty of time to enjoy a delicious breakfast cooked up for me personally as requested. Overall, it was the perfect experience. My wife and I just celebrated our 24 anniversary and decided to stay at the Garrison Inn and do some beach walking in Plum Island. I want to say that we were both very happy with our stay. The energy of a get away location is very important to us both and the overall aura of the Garrison was amazing ( not to sound to new agey). Had a wonderful stay at the Garrison Inn this Mother's Day.. I suprised my mom with an overnight mini getaway to Newburyport and upon my surprise the inn was running a special for the night any room for $120. What a deal so I booked the Penthouse Suite. What a beautiful hotel and accommodating staff. Martin was a great help with booking the room and checking out. Jenny was so sweet. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Garrison Inn. Martin gave us a very warm welcome, and we were made to feel right at home!! All the extra touches made our stay memorable - the beautiful breakfast, outstanding decoration throughout, luxury toiletries, teas, coffee and chocolates, and most of all the very friendly and helpful staff (especially Martin). On our next visit to Boston we will visit Newburyport and the Garrison Inn.
