I can’t fault the team here, not only were they very helpful during the stay; they also went and organised postage home for left behind items. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, wish I’d had time to try out the bath! A1 position

This is ideally located and the proprietors are delightful people. Having breakfast included was a perk and the food was delicious! We stayed in Room 12, and it's a bit of an attic room - a little snug and perhaps too small for 2 grown ups to navigate. My daughter is small enough she could sleep and put her luggage on the side of the roof slope. The bathroom in that room had a sour smell. I wonder if there's mold in there. (My mom also seemed to have a lot of allergies there, and we wonder if it was from dust/mold?) Lighting... read more

Recently stayed here for a few days. Amazing location. Very dog friendly for our four legged friend 🐕‍🦺 🥰 the staff were lovely too. Our room was on the front of the building and so we could hear the deliveries and bins early in the morning but the noise could be blocked out with ear plugs. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant location, backing on to York Minster. Take my advice-don't book the small double room unless you are on your own. The other rooms are wonderful, as is the restaurant. Very obliging service.

A lovely little hotel. Right in the city centre. The room was lovely and clean. We had a cooked breakfast the following morning which was very nice. There isn't any parking next to the hotel itself. If driving, park at the Shambles carpark and you should get a percentage off the price when you stay at the hotel. (I parked at the NCP Tanner Row multi storey car park (10 min walk). For 25hrs it cost me just over £30). We would stay again.
