Went to Gaidos to treat my mom....our dad and her used to take us when we were little. The food was great! Loved the bread on the table....amazing!!! Loved the fancy atmosphere, and our waiter, Vinny was very accommodating. Two things I could complain about...the bread on the plates wasn't real good. Would have preferred garlic toasties or garlic bread. Also, the restarant had a bad smell, I thought. But, otherwise a great experience and we will definitely be back!!
Crawfish fondue was good but the golden tile wasn't impressive at all. It was bland, even with the Nick sauce. Love the nostalgic feel of the restaurant but most likely won't go back.
A must stop for dinner when in Galveston. A classy ambiance, without being stuffy, Gaidos walks that fine line that many lesser restaurants fail at. Every dish is the freshest it can be, and the bartender is top notch.
The service was great and the food was beyond belief. It was a blast from the past with the items they had on display and will go back when we return. The price point was also another positive factor.
The shrimp, ice tea and bread were delicious! Service was wonderful.
