I'm trans, and also really disgusted that I gave you people any money.
I don't support any establishment that doesn't stand up for their employees against bully customers.
Take it from a trans barista- this place is garbage. Find me at a coffee shop with better coffee and better ethics. I worked in the coffee industry in Philly for years amongst teams that made me feel safe and supported. There's no room for less than that.
The coffee made me shit.
I came to the coffee shop once at the recommendation of an employee who worked there. I live across town and would never have come to the shop if said employee hadn't told me I should. Since then this employee was fired due to mismanagement and transphobia. The coffee is fine, but there are other places to get good coffee in Philly- places that stand up to bigotry and ensure their employees feel safe. I will not be coming here again and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.
Love the coffee. Love the people. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
