Had my annual eye exam last week. Dr. Frazee is thorough, professional and soft spoken. Always provides explanations of findings and recommended care. I've been seeing Dr. Frazee for upwards of 20+ years and will continue to do so.
My wife and I have been seeing Dr Frazee for some years now. He is very straightforward and to the point. He does not make small talk, he has no sense of humor, he is not warm and fuzzy BUT he does make me feel confident in his diagnoses, he makes me feel confident in his ability to take care of my eyes. Dr. Frazee is a superb Doctor and Ophthalmologist. He has probably seen more eye patients than any other Ophthalmologist in North Texas. he is quite thorough and has every needed piece of testing equipment that few other eye doctors would have. His office runs with a military precision and very few eye problems are rare to him as he has seen so many patients. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes and found his staff to always be helpful. I went to Dr. Frazee for dry irritated eyes. After doing one test he tried to strong-arm me into getting punctal plugs, which is a surgery to plug your tear ducts. He didn't listen to anything I said, nor did he make any other suggestion. He didn't offer me any other treatment, nor suggest anything else. In addition, he spoke to me very condescendingly and to his assistant as if she were his slave. He missed diagnosing me 10 years ago. He is not a good doctor.
I am a plastic surgeon and so my vision is critical to my career and life. I have been a member of the medical community in Plano for 27 years and I know who is good and not so good. I have been under the care of Lewis Frazee for 20 years for these reasons: he is an excellent ophthalmologist, is kind, and runs a very efficient office. I am always in and out within an hour and his staff is equally king. I hope he never retires.
He does not greet you, doesn't say hi, how are you. The only time he talks is to tell you about his eye glasses lab and hand you a brochure. The office staff make you feel rushed, do not check your benefits, it's a three hour visit minimum. Horrible experience.
His office has gotten too busy. Each visit takes me three hours. I had to make an appointment for 3 months later than I needed bc he is so booked. The staff was not helpful. Then, they overcharged me in the bill they mailed me and I had to call them.
Dr. Frazee is an extremely expensive doctor. Eye exams at his clinic are atrociously expensive. In addition to that he is rude and does not like patients asking too many questions related to their eyes.
