Ideal combination of the old and the new, extremely well presented and equipped, and very comfortable. Says a lot about the professionalism of the hosts/owners. Would be more than happy to return if "back this way".
Beautiful cottage in a quiet location, close to lots of activities and sites such as the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat.
Catbrook is such a wonderful area to stay in. We love the walking - in the woods and on the quiet country lanes - plus cycling (on and off road). Easy to get down to Tintern (shops, cafes, the Abbey - and the old railway route to Chepstow), Trellech (the fabulous Lion Inn), Monmouth (shops, cafes, Waitrose, M&S Food, EV charging) and Chepstow (same as Monmouth, minus Waitrose!).
The six of us (3 adults, 3 kids) had the best long weekend staying in beautiful Foxes Reach cottage. Everything was perfect - the peaceful area, the weather, garden, cottage, bedrooms, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and cosy sitting room. The hot tub was the real winner for us all - we spent evenings keeping warm in the tub whilst looking up at the stars - magical! The little touches around the cottage made it even more special. We really loved our stay at Foxes Reach. First of all the area is quite with really nice walks and woods. It's heaven for walkers, cycling and anglers. The location is ideal for anywhere in the south west, whether Wales or England. Back to the cottage, it has been well thought out and really nice. The bed we slept on was very comfy. Could not fault, we enjoyed every minute and would recommend to stay. There is a hot tub a reasonable sealed garden
