What a venue for my daughter’s birthday, made so special at the Fox and Hounds. Food absolutely delicious, Staff so wonderful, friendly, courteous, helpful, nothing too much trouble. Gorgeous location. Did not stay over but if Rooms anything like service must be fabulous. Only downfall, toilets need decorating badly. Did not detract from wonderful time. Thank you all staff.
My husband and I have visited the Fox and Hounds twice now after walking Wild Ennerdale. On both visits we have had the Guiness Steak pie, it is the best homemade pie we have tasted and we love pies! The portions are huge too! The service is great and the friendliness of the hosts is lovely and welcoming. We can't wait to visit you again soon!
Cosy pub with great food and service
This place is magnificent. Best Sunday roast I've ever had. Fantastic location, lovely pub, lovely staff good selection of ales. Oliver, if you are going to turn up anywhere in the lakes with 10 people without a booking expecting WiFi you really are in the wrong place
I had a local beet it was lovely
