I come to the area often and am not loyal to a specific hotel in the area. On this trip the hotel was relatively cheap for the lax area. I didn't expect much but was very surprised by 30 dollar parking! Other area hotels have cheaper parking! The hotel is basic and is showing its age. It wasn't bad but for parking be so much it would have been better to spring the extra 10 to stay at the renaissance next door (it has cheaper parking). Mold or gas leak that caused health issues for over 50 people here. I stayed here this year for a conference for 4 days in January 2017. Waiting outside the doors to enter the conference on the bottom floor there was some kind of leak or mold that made all 60+ of us cough every time we were in that hallway for 4 days. Now.. months later.. most of us have had to have treatment for an ongoing cough... and many of us have not recovered (myself included) even after several antibiotic and other treatments. I had everything I needed for a one night stay. The staff was friendly and the shuttle driver was even better! Breakfast was good, but I wouldn't pay for it if I had to. I didn't even notice my room because I was sleeping for the 10 hours I was there.
