Had FSM out to put in some jacks, beams and cookies. Ended up needing warranty work due to jacks not being level, no gravel used for cookies and broken cookie. After warranty work was done, had issues re inspected and find out the jacks are still unlevel, and big old cookie was left behind, all my plastic under home has been cut up and destroyed, and the the jacks.that needed replaced were not replaced as they are marked by paint marker from myself. Please please please hire a structural engineer consultant prior to contacting JES. You will be happy that you did. I contacted JES for some abnormalities I was seeing in my floors and drywall. They sent an alleged" structural engineer over to assess the situation. The guy that came over was a straight salesman, and not just a salesman, but a highly dishonest salesman. Began with a trouble call for a tenant property. A1 sent a technician out, and they jetted the line. That was ~***** The tenant reported the clog returned. The same tech came back out and did little to fix, including rejetting his work again. Then he sends a quote for and entire replumb at around $***. So, we call another local company. We have a full fix done and dusted for ~******. I'm not mad about difference in prices. That is why you get multiple quotes. I was scheduled to have my back porch raised on January 26th and when nobody showed I tried to call the salesman but he would not return my calls. Finally after numerous calls to the company somebody returned my call and got me rescheduled for March. After several false starts due to weather someone came out took down my yard fence. Another crew came in and started digging, tore up my yard in the process. I had one of Groundworks local companies out to encapsulate my crawl space. This was by far the worst experience with a contractor I’ve ever had. A complete lack of respect for my home and family. They will make excuses for every mistake they make and try to bully you into signing aggressive legal documents to hush you from telling the truth and accepting a discount for work that they think is acceptable. Before you hire Mount Valley you should talk to a few other companies because this company talks a good game but when it comes down to its all about getting you to sign up get the money and once they have your money you have you get bad service. I should have been more proactive with the install. But I should have canceled the work all together. Customer service was over the top until I didn't go with all the bells and whistles, which would have cost over $******. The job I had completed was much less, and the customer service was awful. They said with what I had done, they could seal the concrete for an additional cost, but then went back on their word because I didn't have the whole recommended work and couldn't close the cracks in the foundation. I called A1 because we had a clogged drain in our sink and washing machine. When the technician arrived he spent 5 minutes trying to snake the drain then proceeded to tell me it was the worse clogged pipes he's ever seen and told us the only way to fix it was replacing all the pipes in my house. He tried to sign us up for a loan for $****** and continued to insist it was the only way to fix the problem. We called a second plumber the next day and he fixed it within an hour.
