The Char Koay Teow is really no standard. So salty n tasteless.
Don’t eat the mixed rice here!The lady will pressure you to add dishes you didn’t ask for. Even when you say no, she just puts the food on your plate anyway and then charges you for it—and it's charge me expensive too 😡
Me and my partner discovered this food court on our way to the train station, food is cheap and amazing, fresh and good variety from all over Asia. Highly recommend to anyone visiting from overseas.
Some new Penang food stalls, especially char keow teow, Penang laksa, Philippines stall, mango desserts, spicy fish soup, la mian, etc.
I would strongly advise against visiting the Malaysian Penang stall at the back. I ordered the prawn noodle soup, and it was honestly one of the worst versions I’ve ever had. The broth tasted like plain water with coloring—completely lacking the rich, flavorful depth you’d expect. The portion was disappointing as well, with just two slices of pork and some prawns that tasted like low-quality frozen seafood. Overall, it felt like very little care went into the dish.
