Worst ever. I unfortunately have insurance with them and am stuck until December with them but I will be leaving them asap. Everytime you call them you get wrong information and lies. Then when you call and speak to a supervisor they do the same thing. They make so many "mistakes" and have you jump through hoops to get their mistake corrected. I wish I never ever ever would have joined with them!!!!!!!!!!!
Florida Blue is the worst paying someone paper pusher to sit behind a desk and turn down services or delay them but not even using their own employees to do this its all outsourced meaning the company doing it is bonused and keeps its job making sure Florida Blue makes money this process hurts people and causes delays in care possibly worse in my case it causes unneeded stresses to my health that is already stressed to much. Florida Blue should be ashamed of how they treat they customers.
Cant even get my medication filled. I would have rather not had health insurance and paid for my doctor and medications out of pocket. It would have been cheaper. But now I am having to fork out $300 a month for medication because they wont cover the brand name version of my medication which is available while the generic has been backordered for months now. If you have an option to go with a different company I would most certainly not look at Florida Blue. I will be dropping them next year and be paying cash for my doctor ... read more
Florida Blue is horrible. I have been trying to get 2 medications that are on the approved list that MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR AND NEUROLOGIST state I need. They pawnme off on Prime Therapeutics who handles their prescriptions. It is tons of back and forth between the insurance company, PT and my doctors and nothing gets resolved. I believe due to the medications being over $1000 each prior to insurance, PT and BCBS of Florida are denying the claims so they do not have to cover the medications. Avoid this company at all costs. I had Blue Cross for many years in another state, and never had a problem. i've been with FL Blue for 2 years now and it is by far the worst. I had a routine outpatient screening colonoscopy but ** is coding it as "Diagnostic" because they found a polyp and sticking me with a $1200 bill from the hospital. No help! With the current national shortages with certain medications, the only medication that pharmacies have is brand name not generic. My doctor wrote a claim to get the medication covered as it is not under my policy. Naturally it has been denied twice. Upon calling to see why, I was told it's not covered and the medication does not qualify for an exception. What a nightmare this company has become. I have been on the phone with them for the past month because they just Randomly, Once again, send me a letter and change my doctor. I'm so sick and tired of the treatment from customer service which is horrible and I have contacted 4 times in the last 3 weeks to get help. Went to a BCBSFL customer service center to make a payment. Would not take a check. Said they needed to debit $$ out of our account. Provided bank info. Instead of $1,600. They processed $16,000. WHAT !! After I caught the error, called them to correct their mistake. Lady on the phone said it could not be stopped. They would have to issue a refund. Have to go to my bank first thing the next morning to halt that transaction from processing.Terrible customer service and incompetent employees.
