It's horrible. It takes your money and refuses to help with treatment that might actually work.
False plan advertising. Refusal to reimburse hospital claims under claims of arbitrary technicalities. Resulting in receiving surgery at one center with a surgeon employed by the center, but Florida Blue recognizing part of the bill in network and part of the bill out of networking, resulting in a combined liability of almost $20,000, instead of the advertised in network deducible of $6500.
This is barely even insurance, it's a complete joke. Nothing is covered, I am basically just paying a ton every month in case something bad happens but even then it wouldn't cover most of it. This is almost a criminal company, they just take money and don't cover anything. I can't wait to never have this awful insurance ever again.
I have called BCBS over 5 times this week, still no result. The customer service is terrible. Today I was hung up on twice I had to ask for a supervisor multiples times. Both reps were quite until the call mysteriously dropped. My daughter PCP or Specialist hasnt been able to submit a claim, error msg due to her name. No one can seem to resolve this issue. I have a sick child that can not be seen by her specialist right now but can not due a system and untrained agents.
This company is pathetic as a medical provider in the state! They absolutely refuse to pay on any legitimate medical claims! I would give them 0 stars if I could!
Imagine needing a surgery to save to life and not being able to get it because of ridiculous COINS on top of being an employee for the company
I called BCBS Florida to find out status of claims for a couple of crossover claim's. I spoke with Angelica who told me that it rejected because we are OON because services/provider are not in the state of Florida. I told her repeatedly that this is a crossover from Medicare and she just kept repeating herself. I told her that it should not matter if we are INN with BCBS Florida because it is a crossover claim, she repeated everything multiple times. Customer Service is terrible. Cannot understand their overseas call center workers reading from script. Change primary care physician without consent for no particular reason.
Premiums are insanely expensive considering it covers basically nothing. Additionally, the co-pay is 100% of the time significantly more expensive than paying out of pocket for services or medication even if they are in network. For example, an office visit with my doctor is $100 but Florida Blue wanted a $155 copay and my medication is $40 but they want me to pay $290.
