We got our kitchen and bathroom floors fitted but they didn't bring the joining strips. No mention of it either in the shop during the sale. One of the fitters said to me that the shop hasn't sent them then asked if I was going to fit them myself. So I looked at him and went yep - paid them for fitting and showed them out. Because why would I bother using a shop that forgot something basic and whose fitters don't want to do the job? I'm paying someone else to do them.
