Since I did not have cancer, I was referred to Dr. Banki by an excellent surgeon at M D Anderson. She was anxious to correct the problem I had with a paralyzed diaphragm in the least invasive way, and she was successful. She checked on me many times after surgery during my stay in the hospital. I feel she is an exceptional thoracic surgeon and a very kind physician--she made me feel complete confidence in her ability and the success of the procedure.

Absolutely fantastic surgeon!! I was in a lot of pain with my left knee. Had 2 prior surgical dates with another surgeon that had to be cancelled. When 1st called there were no openings. Due to the diligents of the staff and doctor I had my knee surgery on Dec. 23rd Tuesday 900am in the morning. By the 4th day I was walking with only the assistance of a cane. I highly recommend him and his compassionate staff. They are wonderful!!! I need to have my right knee done and with the success of my 1st surgery I will be looking for... read more

Dr Banki & her staff did an excellent job taking care of my mother who was suffering from a hiatal hernia for many years. Dr. Banki surpasses every category of professionalism: quality of care and concern for the patient, teaching and speaking in ways that the patient understands, managing and supportive staff was superb, excellent bedside care, and follow up care was outstanding. She performed a repair of a stage III hiatal hernia with supporting mesh . This was my 3rd repair for the same problem. It has been a year since her surgery and I have no complaints or problems.

My appointments felt very rushed. He never even did a physical examination. Overall, I felt like a number not a person.
I feel very blessed to find Dr. Banki. For several years I've been having health issues with my stomach that puzzled many doctors. Dr. Banki took the time to listen and try to understand exactly what my health issues were. She explained to me what she can do to help me feel better and also helped me feel at ease about going through the procedure.
