Extremely intelligent doctor and willing to admit to the fact he doesn’t have an answer. Thorough and listened but basically kicked us to the curb with nowhere to go. If you have a typical autoimmune disease (RA, lupus, scleroderma, sjogrens) he is amazing; anything else and he is horrible.

Dr. Banki is a great surgeon that truly cares about the whole patient and not only the specific health issue that the person is coming in to see her/him about. She did a Heller Myotomy and Dor on me. She took her time to understand my rare disease. The surgery and recovery went well. Her dietician is very kind and listened to my specific dietary needs. Her staff was kind and very patient with me when I had questions with billing or scheduling.

Absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Banki and her staff. Listened and explained everything in detail. She made sure all expectations were met before completing the visit. Showed much concern and compassion. Was less anxious about having surgery knowing Dr. Banki was my surgeon. Would recommend Dr. Banki without any hesitation whatsoever.

Wonderful doctor. Thorough. Knowledgeable. Caring. Did several procedures on me- both in the office and in the hospital. Helped my problem, and put me at ease. One of the few doctors I’ve had that actually listens to you.

My primary care physician recommended Dr. Banki for treatment of my hiatal hernia and I could not have been more impressed. It was the best surgical procedure experience I've ever had. Right from the get-go, she took charge of my care, getting me a same-day appointment in radiology (she even stopped by to check on me after hours!). After a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis with associated pain, I was told that I had a large hiatal hernia. I was so scared and did not see a doctor for over a year. I then was referred to Dr. Banki earlier this year due to some complication and went to see her for a consultation. When I saw her, she showed me the results from the tests that she ran and explained to me how she would repair my hernia, surgically. She alleviated my fears and concerns. Dr Banki was a “God send”…I couldn’t hold food down, took a few test ordered by my Gastro Dr. I was waiting on Her Office to contact Me with results. Finally after waiting 3 weeks, I reached out to them. I was told it would take Me 6 weeks to see Her. This doctor prescribed a medication which completely ruined the subtle effects I had for 14 years. I am now looking at a surgery which would have been completely unnecessary if I had never met her. I had to stress to her representative that I wanted to talk to my doctor before I finally got a call from her FIVE DAYS LATER! The sad thing is that UT Physicians still say shes their top physician for Non Pressure Hydrocephalus. She disregarded the main oath she took. First do no harm! RUN FROM HER!
