Lovely place. Easy to book. Good price. Arrived on site and messaged Heidi the owner (as per instructions on the gate)who was really friendly when greeting us and explaining where to pitch our tent. Also told us about local attractions/ shopsect and explained about the facilities available on site. The facilities are basic but that's fine as the 2 proper toilets were always clean and well maintained. 1 shower costing a pound ( put in the honesty box) I didn't use it but again looked clean and tidy and well maintained. PERFECT 🤩
This location is difficult to beat. Amazing views and a 10-15 minute walk to Robin Hoods Bay and Boggle Hole. Great base if you want to access these places and the Cleveland Way Coast path. Ravenscar is only 2.7 miles from boggle hole, too. (NB, there are steep steps up and down from this plateau to both coastal sites mentioned). Facilities-wise, there is a washing up sink without hot water, 2 x loo shed-type cubicles, which are clean, but don't offer much privacy. On a walk passing by, we went to look at the campsite poster and information about a potential stay. The owner pointed the direction of the path. We said thank you then continued to look at the notice put up. The owner then said, "why are you looking at my notices, unbelievable. This is a private site." Would not recommend, very rude.
Great size plots, lovely and quiet, toilets were immaculate and a bonus of a hot shower, fantastic views and a fish n chips shop, bistro, ice cream shop n small village shops 10 minutes walk along a nice little path
