Gem of a castle
Fun, interesting place to explore. We stayed for 2hours and kids loved finding out lots about the castle and exploring the site. Lots of little games to play and staff super friendly.
Definitely worth doing the audio tour to learn about the Hungerford family and interesting things that went on in the castle to make it make sense when walking round. Not much of the castle left, but the Priests House and the Chapel have been restored. It was a nice site to go around, we spent around 2 hours there. Not too difficult to access either, just off the main road, but set in lovely countryside. Parking for about 25 cars.
Great for families, the kids had a great time ! Theres a lot of grisly history, especially the vault and the Lady tower.
