Caught the main train from Harlech to fairboune one way got on the steam train at fairboune Went to the end of line got off Caught the ferry across the channel to Barmouth had a look round Barmouth for a few hours then Caught the main train back to Harlech great day out
Very nice quaint station with small model railway
Had a great day using the railway. We started in Barmouth town and used the nice clean free toilets next to the marina. Then paid £4 each (cash or card) to get the ferry across the water to Barmouth Ferry station (which only took a few minutes) The boat drops you off on the pebble beach and then it's a one minute walk to the station (which also had a nice toilet, hot drink vending machine and plenty of seating inside and outside) When the steam train arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful and answered all my questi... read more
