When Southend hospital was coercing me to accept care of my (difficult) elderly mother with metastatic pancreatic cancer at her home, I surendipitously said "hospice". Within hours, Havens hospice took over her care. I was SO grateful - both my husband and myself were crying! Fair Havens was brilliant. Clean, spacious, professional, caring and understanding staff of challenging family dynamics. Space for us in family room to have break/tea. I am overwhelmed with gratitude that my Dad spent the last 5 days of his life at this wonderful facility . The staff were so kind to him, treated him with dignity and made sure he was comfortable at all times. My sister and I were treated with the same kindness. I want to particularly thank one of the sisters Lindsay we was with me when my Dad took his last breath. I will never forget her.

Absolutely disgusting service for family members be told can't have the family room to get rest as I am staying here with only few days left with my mother be told the family room is only available for family members who's loved one's are priority Is my mum and myself not a "PRIORITY" with only a few days left to live I'll be taken this disgusting behaviour to higher chain of command this is not acceptable by long way
